Rooster to Feather Duster is what changeover is all about!

President Swapna with President Elect Ian

Tom Sweeney was in fine form as MC for the 2015 Rotary Club of Crows Nest Changeover celebration.  He managed to arrange for all of us to introduce ourselves and our guests - a nice touch.

District Governor Gina Growden rose to make two special presentations and then President Swapna spoke eloquently about her year as President.  She welcomed her parents and spoke about her Rotary legacy.  Swapna touched on the key highlights in the club during the year including the change in meeting venue, the growth in the club's membership and the consequent increase in our capacity to do good; the new website, various projects, lighting up Rotary with our BBQs, the visit to China, and the contribution made by her leadership team were all covered in her review.

The formalities involved in Swapna becoming Immediate Past President and Ian Pocock becoming the club's President for 2015-16 were quickly but tastefully undertaken and then President Ian too the floor.  Ian spoke of his introduction to Rotary just two and a half years ago and his assimilation into the club; he then introduced his leadership team, many of whom are relatively new to the club.

Member and Past District Governor Harold Sharp then rose to close the evening with a few well chosen, uplifting words about the club and congratulated Past President Swapna on her growth over the last 12 months.

All of this in our new venue with wonderful food and wine!

Howard Sullivan was recognised as a Paul Harris Fellow
Les Walsh was presented with a second Ruby for his PHF
