Our next meeting is at the Union Hotel on 3rd April. The meeting will be in the Uncorked Room as the Terrace Room has a prior booking. The Hotel can provide the same setup and access to a screen etc. Your chairman will be PP Ian Pocock since I will be an apology. I am trying to discover how to retire and give up work, so I am off to Yarrawonga to play golf with some guys who have lead me astray annually for 12+ years.
The following week (10th April) we are having an evening meeting at the Malabar, Indian Restaurant, Pacific Highway, Crows Nest. Your President plans to have some presidential awards so a good turnout would be appreciated. Please attend with your husbands, wives or partners, especially those member that find lunctime meetings difficult to attend – after all these evening meetings are organised to allow you to attend The menu is the Malabar Banquet BYO: cost is $35.00 per head.
Our Changeover Dinner will also be an evening meeting on July 3rd. It is hoped to hold this meeting at the Union Hotel. However I am awaiting the outcome of negotiations with the manager of the Union Hotel regarding menus and costs.
MONDAY 27th March 2017 - Our Speaker is Liz MacKinlay, speaking on Mary's House
Liz has held roles with a variety of not for profit organisations including World Vision International as Global Vice President of Strategy , with World Vision Australia as Director of Indigenous development, International Red Cross Society in Cambodia as a gender specialist as well as serving on a number of NFP Boards. Liz had a passion for community development. She is a specialist in gender equity and reducing violence against women and children and is committed to children's rights to care, participation and protection. Liz is currently the CEO of Australian Doctors International and a Board member for Reality Learning Ltd.
