Our meetings are now being held at Pino's Italian Restaurant, 49 Willoughby Road, Crows Nest (opposite Clarke Street).
PRESIDENT PETER'S MOMENT
Hi fellow Rotarians,
Gold! Gold! Gold! for Crows Nest Rotary this week.
One : On a lovely warm sunny winter’s day 30 Adults and 8 children enjoyed a relaxing BBQ lunch, some farm activities and a gentle stroll in a rainforest to a stunning waterfall that justified the trip to the Central Coast alone. Then capped off by picking free oranges on the way back.
Two : Our move to Pino’s as our new luncheon venue was acclaimed by members as a congenial meeting place and five choices of meals was varied, large portions and very tasty. Members voted by an overwhelming show of hands to abandon the Hotel and meet weekly at Pinos. The ongoing plan formulated with the owner Guiseppe is to repeat the same menu next week and change the menu fortnightly.
And Three : our speaker on Monday, Peter Pearce – introduced by Harold , proved a rotary powerhouse. One was left in awe of Peter’s and Gosford North’s contributions to Shelterboxand more generally to Madagascar. Listening to Peter, made one feel proud to be a member of this world wide organisation called Rotary! More about Peter’s talk below.
Our newly married Alon returned, complete with CD highlights of his wedding – What a delightful ceremony – there was not a dry eye in the restaurant. We were able to present Alon(and Shalva) with their wedding present from Club members at last – a Noritake Art Glass Vase. We also welcomed John Saunders back from his travels.
So next week will maintain the pace – Meeting at Pinos for lunch and a Board meeting on Wednesday 24th – all welcome.
Yours in Rotary
Peter
Regards
Peter

We offer many programs that allow you to engage with fellow members and make new connections outside your club and district. Here are just a few ways to get more involved:
