The Stroke Foundation is a national charity that partners with the community to prevent, treat and beat stroke. We stand alongside stroke survivors and their families, healthcare professionals and researchers. We build community awareness and foster new thinking and innovative treatments. We support survivors on their journey to live the best possible life after stroke. One way we build community awareness is through our StrokeSafe program. Your presenter will cover a range of issues that will help your organisation or group better understand stroke and how it can be prevented. This includes: · What stroke is – What happens when someone is having a stroke and the different types of stroke. · How to recognise the signs of stroke – Learn the vital FAST signs which will help you recognise when someone is having a stroke. · What to do if someone is having a stroke – If you or someone else experiences the signs of stroke, no matter how long they last, call 000 immediately. · How to prevent stroke – Steps that can be taken to better understand and reduce the risk of having a stroke. |

Report from Directors on progress of Projects etc
Sep 28, 2020
Following the September Board Meeting, the Directors are requested to report on their efforts and progress with Projects under their control. 2020 has been an exceptional year for everyone and Rotary Activities have been extensively curtailed, and even Rotary Club meetings have been transferred to online using Zoom. So each of the Directors is eager to tell everyone about their work! |

The Story of the Beginning of Days for Girls
Nov 16, 2020 12:30 pm
I propose to show a video of a presentation by the Founder of Days for Girls, Celeste Mergens, titled ‘the Story of Days for Girls’ on Monday 16th November 2020 at 12.30pm.
It was recorded in September 2020 during the Days for Girls Week 2020.
I will edit it to 20 mins 32 seconds.
This is the first time the Founder has presented her story of ‘the Days for Girls Journey’. I think our members would be interested.
That OK with you?
