Another great evening Meet on Monday, but the question still remains as to the future of the evening Meeting. Kate and Tom will have a final ring round this week of those working members, unable to make the day Meeting, and a final call will then be made at the next Monday’s Meeting. So, please make sure you have your say and Watch this space!!
Great news this week with the approval of the District Grant for the iConnect Digital Library Project, involving iPad purchases, at the Crows Nest Community Centre. Well done by Sue and others involved in Community.
Secondly, Bunnings have now advised that we have been offered two BBQ slots in October, on the 10th and 24th, but the manning/rules of operation are significantly different to what we are used too. So much discussion and training between now and then.
Thanks to Kate for adding the role of Welfare Officer to her portfolio.
Trifecta Tickets are now available! We had a successful Trifecta Stapling crew last Thursday at Cyril’s, and another follow up this coming Thursday. Remember, many hands make light work.
With the pandemic situation slowly improving, let’s hope we’re back to meeting physically in the not to distant future.
The Club is in a state of excitement! Bunnings has given the Club two dates in October, 10th and 24th! Lots of changes to how we serve and deliver our sauage sandwiches, but initially we need volunteers to step forward to fill the 6 positions each shift, ie am and pm. Contact our President now!!

Meetings will alternate each Monday, - Between 7.30pm & 12.30pm .

Last Meeting - Monday
21st September 2020 - Robyn Pender presenting National Stroke Week 2020
Stokes, what a shock to our system!
This year, National Stroke Week is perhaps more important than ever.
Since the COVID-19 outbreak, we have seen fewer people calling triple zero (000) and going to hospital at the first signs of stroke. In these times we are relying on our F.A.S.T. heroes to save lives by recognising the signs of stroke (Face, Arms, Speech and Time).
You can be a F.A.S.T. hero and save the life of a loved one, a colleague, a stranger or even yourself by understanding the F.A.S.T. message and calling an ambulance straight away if you suspect a stroke.

Mark Anderson, well known in our District is now living in the Southern Highlands, but once a year he and his son ride Trains. This year, prior to the World Polio Day 2020, on 23rd October 2020. Not your usual ride, but a nigh on impossible ride all within 24 hours. This year on the Sydney network, there are 189 stations, to cover every station within 24 hours last year, took Mark 18 hours, 10 mins. Each year through sponsorship Mark raises over $150,000 for the eradication of Polio.
