Tom interviewed another member this week - Howard Sullivan.
 
Howard was born in Essendon, Victoria, explaining his life long support for the AFL Essendon Club. He attended High school at Nunawading then continued his education at Swinburne Technical College, which became a university by the time he finished his degree  in civil engineering. Later on in life he completed two masters degrees at Melbourne University on hydro geology and geotechnical engineering.

Due to his expertise  Howard worked in Vietnam on many water supply and sanitation projects. To this day this remains his favourite country outside of Australia.
 
He met Wendy, his wife of many years in 1969 at a Portsea pub and they were married 18 months later and eventually had three children and eight grandchildren.
 
His hobbies are  AFL, cricket, sailing and vintage car collection which shows in his ownership of a 1956 Triumph motor sports vehicle.
News for Members;
 
- Tom has arranged for a dinner @ Northbridge Golf Club on May 23rd. Speaker will be Professor Jim Elliot will be our keynote speaker on the impact of trauma related to road accident victims.
- North Sydney Council has responded with details for the placement of an aboriginal flag along side the Australian flag installed by the Club more than 20 years ago. Circulated to the board. 
- Costs are now going up significantly for the Union Hotel, Ian to review alternatives.

Bunnings BBQs
 
Thanks to Bunnings Artarmon, our Club has continued to run BBQs, which are our major fund raiser.  Although exhausting, we all enjoy them!
