PRESIDENT'S COLUMN
Hello, Members and our Rotary Friends receiving this eBulletin.
Last Monday, we met ‘face to face’ in the Union Hotel, Nth Sydney.   And under new management, the food for lunch was extremely good and we told the Chef so and commended them.  We all missed our late member Cyril, who was our Welcomer and Cashier for so many years.
Christmas is coming and we have three social functions coming up! The main important function is our Giving Night, and Pride of Workmanship Awards on 13th December 2021 at the Northbridge Golf Club, so please register now and come enjoy the night.
As mentioned last week, our BBQs are back! and we have our next on Saturday 27th November, so if you can spare the time, come on down to Bunnings Artarmon and enjoy a ‘Sausage Sizzle’.
Note; We are going to alternate our meetings, ‘face to face’ one week, and the next week on Zoom.   Next Monday, we meet are on Zoom Join Us!  The link is here, ie click here!
Enjoy your newfound freedom, but be careful, wear your mask!
Yours in Rotary Service

Last Monday week, the  8th of November - Tom and Angelo spoke on the life and Rotary history of Cyril Clark
Our last and late foundation Member Cyril Clark ,worked as an Electrician from the age of 15 ,and up until he turned 77 years old .But he only retired then to look after his dear wife ,Lorna ,suffering from dementia .Cyril used to be in the habit on Monday's of coming home from work at 11am,showering,changing into his suit ,going to the Rotary Meeting ,coming home at 2pm,changing back into his work overalls and back on the job .He hardly ever missed a Meeting ,and at some stage covered every role in the Club.
In Memory of Cyril ,the Club has decided to grant an Annual Award to a local TAFE ,for an annual $500 Bunnings Tooling Voucher Award for an Apprentice Electrician .

Toast:  Sue toasted the Rotary Club of Agra ,of Taj Mahal fame, in India ,established in 1939.A Club tirelessly devoted to Polio Eradication.
