PRESIDENT'S COLUMN

Dear Crows Nest Rotarians,

Unfortunately we had a low attendance at Rotary last Monday at the Hotel where our guest speaker to talk about The Rotary Foundation - also failed to turn up! Not a good day.

However, we have a BUMBER Monday next where we have not one but two Senior Constables Larissa Ryan and Kylie Dodds from North Shore LAC to talk about Domestic Violence.

I encourage, in fact ask, that all Members attend next Monday for this special presentation.

BBQ ROSTER

Our next BBQ is Saturday is December 30th, 27th January & 17th February.

Meeting Responsibilities Roster

Our next meeting is Monday 4th November(Lunch) - Police on Domestic Violence

Two Senior Constables Larissa Ryan and Kylie Dodds from the Domestic Violence unit, North Shore, will be our guest speakers.

They will bring us up to date on the current actions and the workings of the DV unit and answer lots of questions. So come prepared.

This fits in with the "Say No to DV" which is DG Christine's theme for her year.

Please make this a bumper meeting. Guests welcome.

Toast: Kate toasted the Rotary Club of Delhi

Key discussion points were

a) Request for us to run our usual BBQ during the Xmas carols with proceeds going to a local charity.

Sunday 10th December 4pm til 7pm. The Community Centre will provide the BBQ.

Still checking availability of members to attend. If you can help please call Ross.

b) Volunteers are also required for the Bunnings BBQ on Saturday December 30th. Please call Howard if you can help.

c) Lack of RSVPs to Tom's invitation to the Giving night. Please RSVP this week - Thanks

d) Buddy Benches are due to be delivered this week.

Member news:

- BBQ netted $1762 last Saturday.

- Trifecta winner has been found. Sold by Mark at a North Sydney Leagues Poker night.

Members please give your ticket money to Angelo ASAP.
