I was very impressed with this week’s speaker – Nadine Cattell – from Dream2Live4.  Best described as a Starlight for Adults Nadine told some simple, but amazing stories of granting the wishes of people with cancer. (See below)
Enjoy the rest of your week.
Yours in Rotary

The International Toast was proposed by Ross to the Rotary Club of Messina,Sicily.The Rotary Club of Messina was inaugurated on May 3, 1928,the 19th Club in Italy and second in Sicily, after Palermo's godfather. - Founder and first president is Mr. Michele Crisafulli Mondio, president of the Straits City since 1922 and president of the local Agrumaria Chamber.
From the beginning, the Club is known as an elite of professionals, all very representative and influential, able to guide the development of the city by accelerating its modernization during the reconstruction phase following the earthquake of 1908.
Among the initiatives taken by the Club over the years are also the close formal twinning relationships, in 2001, with the Rotary Club Five Dock Sidney (New South Wales – Australia) and, in the year 2010, with the Rotary Club Caserta "Land of Work".They meet Tuesday night at the Jolly Hotel.

What is Arthritis? and how to Manage it!

On 10th February 2020 our Speaker was Ashleigh Bower-Events Coordinator at Arthritis NSW

Arthritis Awareness, Managing the Symptoms;

Arthritis and Osteoporosis NSW is a charity, non-for profit organisation who recognise and advocate for those in our community suffering from Arthritis and similar musculoskeletal conditions. There are several strategies that can be used to mitigate symptoms of arthritis, including exercise, strength training, and weight management, among others. The challenge lies in effective implementation of these strategies among community-dwelling older adults. Arthritis and Osteoporosis NSW would like to educate community populations about these strategies thus empowering them to take control of their Arthritis.  Read on for 'How to Manage Arthritis, and Strength Training Classes.
